A Tape class consist of students gathered together to hear one of Joel's lectures and for the sheer joy of meeting with those of like mind. The basic idea of a tape class is to open our consciousness to "truth" and thereby help develop a deeper level of spiritual awareness. As this awareness deepens, serious students experience spiritual harmony "appearing as" material harmony where material discord was once seemingly apparent. This is the "natural result" of their deeper awareness of God and is referred to in the bible as the added things. "But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you." (Matthew 6:33) - These classes begin with a brief meditation. After the tape or CD is played another meditation is conducted. This concludes the class. Then we quietly leave the meeting place so that those who have received something from the tape class can carry it home for quiet contemplation and meditation.

The atmosphere of these classes is one of inner reflection and meditation. In order to prepare your consciousness for an atmosphere of truth, it is recommended that just before you attend a tape class, you spend some time reading Joel's material, contemplating and meditating on truth.

Try to associate, as far as possible, with those on the same path. There is nothing more helpful to our mutual progress than this - "nothing." When people come together seeking nothing from each other, with no thought in their minds but receptivity to the Christ, you may well know that the Christ is there to fill that need. Every meeting we can have together on this level of spiritual thinking is advancing our own progress.

In participating in an Infinite Way meeting, your responsibility is to check all your troubles at the door before you go in. Check your human responsibilities; check your human pains; check all those things that concern you. Leave them outside, and when you go into the room, wherever that may be, attune yourself to God. Spend your hour forgetting your own problems and in attunement with God. Abide in some word of God, and let the word of God abide in you. Contemplate some passage of truth. If you are lost in the contemplation of some spiritual truth, you will lose nothing, even if you do not hear a word that is spoken from the platform.
